The VW Type 2 (T1) is the first generation of the Volkswagen Transporter. Initially derived from the Volkswagen Type 1 (Beetle), it started production in 1950. The T1 is currently one of the most valuable Volkswagens because of its cult status and reliability, with nice original examples selling for close to €100,000.
